Confused about an air purifier - you’re not alone
Can buying an air purifier be anymore confusing - big, small, round, square, tall, short, who knows?
In simplest terms air purifier machines pushes dirty air through a filter (sorry basic) and for more expensive model’s multiple filters; up to six (6) filters on some models; hence, the reason for so many different prices.

HEPA Filters: These are highly efficient at capturing tiny particles like dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke. They can trap up to 99.97% of particles that are 0.3 microns or larger.

Activated Carbon Filters: These filters are excellent for removing odors, gases, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by adsorbing them onto a porous carbon surface.

Pre-Filters: Often made of foam or mesh, pre-filters capture larger particles to prolong the lifespan of the main filter by preventing it from getting clogged too quickly.

UV Filters: Ultraviolet (UV) light filters use UV-C light to neutralize and kill bacteria, viruses, and some mold spores that pass through the air purifier.

Ionic Filters: Ionic air purifiers release charged ions into the air, which attach to particles and make them fall to the ground or stick to surfaces. Some models then have plates that attract these particles for removal.

Photo-Catalytic Filters: These filters use UV light to activate a catalyst that breaks down and neutralizes harmful pollutants and gases in the air.

For Chiang Mai having a machine with a HEPA, carbon, and a pre filter pretty much solves the problem of any indoor air particles. The next consideration is buying a machine that covers ones room size noted on each model.

Unveiling Creativity: Wonder Juey, the Maestro of Student Theater

In town sits a coy unpretentious talented Mass Communications graduate; Wonder Juey.   Juey’s talents lie in her uncanny ability to orchestrate captivating student plays on an incredibly tight budget. Despite resource limitations, Juey's ingenuity shines through in her innovative fundraising approach – rewarding social media engagement with the promise of artistic excellence.

Juey's theatrical productions transcend the boundaries of typical student plays; they project a level of craftsmanship and sophistication akin to Hollywood productions. Her commitment to perfection and attention to detail manifest in every aspect of her work, from casting the right talents to meticulous stage design.

However, the real marvel lies in her resourceful fundraising strategies. Leveraging the power of social media, Juey ingeniously awards those who support and promote the plays online. This creative approach not only garners attention but also ensures that the limited budget doesn't hinder the quality of the performances.

Juey's creations, though born out of student initiatives, resonate with professional finesse. The plays she spearheads become a testament to the boundless creativity and talent thriving outside universities performing arts departments. Through her visionary leadership and unwavering dedication, Juey has not only raised the bar for student productions but also amplified the allure of cultural talent and creative arts.

As the curtains rise on each of Wonder Juey's productions, audiences are transported into realms of storytelling and artistry that rival industry standards, whom I like to often refer to as the Steven Spielberg of Chiang Mai. Her artistic legacy extends beyond the stage, leaving a stamp on the hearts of those who witness her theatrical brilliance. Wonder Juey is, undoubtedly, a guiding star illuminating the path for aspiring student artists, proving that creativity knows no bounds, especially in the hands of a visionary like her.

Did you know?

When did the custom of removing of shoes begin?

Know one really knows when the removing of shoes originated before entering a building, but it has a long treasured heritage.  In Thailand, the practice is influenced by a combination of factors: Buddhist customs, which emphasize cleanliness and respect for sacred spaces; the tropical climate, where it’s common to remove shoes to avoid tracking dirt or bringing in outdoor elements; and traditional etiquette that values maintaining the cleanliness of indoor spaces.

The custom signifies respect for the environment and the place being entered, ensuring that the home or sacred space remains clean and pure. It’s a gesture of politeness and consideration for the cleanliness and sanctity of the indoor environment.
