The owner and chef Toey ( Samgmanee ) was one of the first to experiment with the decorative plate idea over 20 years ago, giving guests a new perspective to eating out; presentation.
Toey says he learned about cooking from his Mom, but wanted a way to entice people to take pictures of his food; hence, the pretty plate idea. He says many people from Bangkok and other regions came to his restaurant out of curiosity of his new ideas, and featured him in many food magazines.
